Visit to the wind farm

The morning is dedicated to visiting one of the largest wind farms in Italy. It will be an opportunity to assess all aspects and benefits of the production of energy from wind power.  Pupils will be taken to the site near a wind turbine where they will be shown:
  • how and why a wind farm is born, what studies and activities are necessary beforehand to verify its feasibility (anemological study of the site, etc.);
  • operation and characteristics of a wind generator;
  • management of the energy produced;
  • wind farm management, maintenance and interventions.
Continue the day with a visit to the historic center of San Marco dei Cavoti famous all over the world for the "croccantini", torroncini that are produced here for over a century. You can visit a confectionery company to discover its secrets.
In the afternoon the visit continues to Benevento, the city of witches. You will discover the historic center with the Roman theater, the Arch of Trajan, the church of Santa Sofia and the Sannio Museum.
