This interactive didactic itinerary is entirely dedicated to the knowledge of the territory and to the direct experimentation of the archaeologist’s profession.
Laboratory activities:
- Introduction to archaeology include the methods of the archaeologist’s work in the field, the methodologies used for the recognition and dating of a site and the concept of stratigraphy.
- Simulation of archaeological excavation and recovery of artifacts using the tools of the trade.
- Analysis of the exhibits and documentation with the use of special documentation sheets.
Guided tour: to complete the route there will be a guided tour of the archaeological area and the National Museum of Paestum, where the students will "recognize" the original forms of the artifacts with which they have previously worked.
