Day 1 - Paestum / Velia / Agropoli
Arrival of the participants in Paestum and meeting with our cultural operator and beginning of the guided tour on the field. We will start with: Paestum, the Valley of the temples. To discover the Magna Grecia. The city of Paestum was called by the Greek Poseidonia. Located at the mouth of the Sele River, it was one of the richest and most flourishing Greek colonies in southern Italy along the west coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We visit the archaeological area with the temples of Hera, Neptune and Athena. Paestum is famous for its magnificent Doric temples and the Forum, with shops and market of Roman age. Followed by a visit to the farm for the processing of mozzarella. Lunch at the farm for the tasting of dairy products. In the afternoon we will continue for the guided tour to Velia, the land of philosophers and the Cilento coast. The archaeological area of Velia and panoramic tour with stops along the Cilento coast. Visit to the historic center of Agropoli with its Aragonese Castle. Continue to hotels in Paestum or surroundings, accommodation in rooms, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 - Castelcivita Caves / Alento River Oasis
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the Caves of Castelcivita. Visit to the caves with speleological guide. Lunch on a farm and visit to the Oasis and the dam of the river Alento. Guided tour of the dam and the park, with the possibility of boat ride. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Pompeii
Breakfast at the hotel and baggage boarding for departure. Stop at the archaeological area of Pompeii and start of the visit Pompeii: daily life. Starting from Porta Anfiteatro we will reach the forum, center of political, social and administrative life discovering the appearance of a rich commercial city, destroyed at the peak of its splendor. Lunch in the restaurant and departure for the return.
