Guided tour to discover the Caves of Castelcivita, located on the shore of the Calore river. A complex of karst cavities rich in stalactites and stalagmites with various forms. They are also known as the Caves of Spartacus because, legend tells that the famous gladiator took refuge in these cavities during his revolt against Rome. The caves are also relevant from the paleontological point of view, thanks to the discovery of fossils and stone tools.
