Day 3 - Velia or Santa Maria di Castellabate. The Mediterranean diet and Palinuro
Founded in 540 B.C. by the Phocaeans, it was a great cultural pole of antiquity, being the cradle of the Eleatic Philosophical School, whose main exponents were Parmenides and Zeno, and seat of the Eleatic Medical School, immediate precedent of the better known Salernitan Medical School. Very impressive is the walk through the ruins of the old residential districts, the climb to Porta Rosa, the only example of a Greek arch in Magna Graecia, up to the Acropolis, where the medieval tower that dominates unopposed overlooking an enchanting scenery reigns proudly. Here, the fertile plain, the gentle hills and the beach with golden sand, are lapped by a cobalt blue sea, unmistakable sign of the landscape of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano.Lunch . Panoramic tour of the Cilentana coast,  Palinuro, "where the ancient Greeks already enchanted..."
The boat trip to the famous Capo, offers unique emotions: an intense blue sea, high cliffs, beautiful bays and many caves, including the beautiful Blue Grotto.
