Greek-Roman Naples, the crib tradition, oil and street food
 

Excursion to discover the Greek Roman Naples, the cults, the birth of the city and the Isiac mysteries. The artistic craftsmanship of San Gregorio Armeno with the wonderful shepherds, the tradition and the history of the crib. Naples street food gourmet walk to discover the street food, the history and the influence of peoples and civilizations on our gastronomic tradition. Extra virgin olive oil tastings at historic pizzerias that enhance the excellence of our "gold" olive. 

Visit at the Greco-Roman Naples, the decumani, we will discover "Spaccanapoli" the history of the birth of the Greek city and the richness of the Roman city, we will meet various archaeological evidences in the corners of palaces, streets and squares and we will make a journey through time. We will continue our discovery of archaeological Naples going down under the church of San Lorenzo Maggiore in the so-called "Naples buried" we will see the Roman forum, the ancient shops and the macellum, in Piazza San Gaetano we will discover the remains of the Temple of Dioscuri and various inscriptions that testify the presence of the ancient Roman theater. Our archaeological walk will continue with the discovery of the statue of the Nile and the Isiac mysteries.
The old town is the heart of the city and artistic traditions, we will visit the crib shops and meet the artists who will make us relive the art of shepherds of 700.
We will visit a traditional pizzeria where we will taste the extra virgin olive oil, the main ingredient of the famous Neapolitan pizza, we will continue our walk of taste with a street food tasting and we will understand the history and origins of our fried food.
The excursion will end in the afternoon around 16.30. The excursion will take place on foot.
