Description of the experience
Guided tour to discover the city of Paestum, called by the Greeks Poseidonia. Located at the mouth of the river Sele was one of the richest and most flourishing Greek colonies in southern Italy on the west coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We visit the archaeological area with the temples of Hera, Neptune and Athena. Paestum, famous for its magnificent Doric temples and for the Forum, with shops and market of Roman times. In the Archaeological Museum, in addition to the precious finds found in the area, there is the famous fresco of the Tomb of the diver, the only example of Greek painting of Magna Grecia.
