Day 1. Pompeii and Sorrento
Arrival in Pompeii and guided tour to discover the new domus recently restored and open to the public. Lunch and departure for Sorrento. Visit to the famous town among the streets decorated with characteristic illuminations and free time for “Christmas shopping”. Continue to the hotel, accommodation in the rooms, dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Paestum and Salerno
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Paestum, visit to the archaeological area and to the Archaeological Museum with the cycles of Italic painting, unique in the world. Visit of a typical cheese factory with a taste of the delicious buffalo mozzarella and typical Cilento lunch. Departure for Salerno. Walk to the historic center and free time to visit the famous lights of the Artist of Salerno. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Naples
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Naples. Day dedicated to the discovery of the city in its baroque style with its arts, its mysteries and its legends. Visit to the most representative monuments of this historical period. The crib tradition, the Isiac mysteries and the Sansevero chapel, which will open the doors to the mystery of the Veiled Christ. Lunch in typical pizzeria in the city center. In the afternoon, we will go up, thanks to the modern funicular, on the hill of Vomero, where surrounded by the warm Christmas atmosphere of the district, we will visit the ancient Charterhouse of San Martino with the extraordinary collection of the eighteenth-century nativity scenes. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4. Phlegraean Fields (in Italian Campi Flegrei)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the Campi Flegrei, a journey into the myth. Guided tour of the Acropolis of Cuma, with its temples and the Cave of the Sibyl reopened and brought to the ancient splendor. We will move to Pozzuoli with a visit to the Flavian Amphitheatre and the so-called Temple of Serapis. Lunch in the restaurant to enjoy the delights of the area.
